In 2013, Ashely received a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Southern University. She also holds a Master of Science in Juvenile Justice from Prairie View A&M University. Currently, She  completed her Master of Education in Counseling and Development with a specialization in Marriage, Couples, and Family Counseling from Lamar University.  Additionally, she have been an Academic Advisor for four years, working with college students, to achieve student success.

My areas of competence include individual counseling with children, adolescents, and adults as well as group counseling, and couples and family counseling. I am not able to prescribe medication of any kind. 

I believe that clients have the ability to choose how to resolve their own problems, can make their own decisions with my assistance as a facilitator, and are responsible for their own behaviors, thoughts, and feelings. As a counselor, I encourage my clients to develop greater self-awareness and mental health through their life experiences, building increased confidence and self-esteem. It is important that clients are self-assured and optimistic in their abilities to solely take on any obstacles or problems they may encounter. My goal is to walk with you along the path of acknowledgment, compassion, growth, healing, and change in a safe, trusting, and supportive environment. 

As the client, you are in control and can end the counseling relationship at any time. If at any time you are dissatisfied with me or our work together, please let me know.  We can work together to resolve any issues or if you prefer, I’m happy to support you in finding another counselor.
